removing heater core
can somebody please tell me the correct way to uninstall a heater core in a 1996 bonneville se? do you take it out from under the dash or do you take it out from the firewall? and is there a diagram for either way?

It comes out under the dash.
First ..I would recommend getting a spring hose clamp tool. They are sold at most parts stores and Sears. This will give you the ability to remove the clamps. It is tight behind the strut.
Once inside and looking up under the dash, there is an HVAC programmer with a bunch of colored lines going to it. Directly to the left of that is the heater core cover. It'* held on with two small screws. I think they are 5.5mm. Maybe 7mm.
