My Coils -Bad or Not? *Updates*
 
I just did some readings and i got this, on my 94SE are they OK?????

6-3: 5.78
2-5: 5.72
4-1: 5.65

think the 5.65 might be bad?

crap i dont want to here that....

cuz i have a sputtering problem at speed when the tork converter locks and i wanted to here that it might be a coil, cuz i did Plugs and wires and i cant think of what else might be doing it

Do you mean sputtering as in a skip or sputtering as in an exhaust leak?

Any stumbling with the TC locked up, especially under load climbing a slight incline is ignition.

Remove your coils and go through all this:

Then remove your plug wires and measure each of them by number and post the results here.

Inspect each wire for it's entire length looking for carbon scoring where it may be arcing out through the insulation.

I had this problem as well and it turned out to be plugs AND wires. One plug had cracked, and one wire had fallen against the O2 sensor and burned itself. Of course the Check Engine light didn't bother coming on until both cylinders were bad.

Doesnt' matter if you changed them. Please measure them like I asked earlier. You have an ignition problem. Also follow that procedure FULLY that I linked you to.

Until you measure your wire resistance and the primaries and secondaries on the coils, we can't help you.

A quick test for the coils is to unplug both wires from one coil and start the car. There should be an arc between the two. Repeat as necessary for other coils.

OK, i took the coils off and tested them..

they all are at 0.8, so there fine..

now i know the wires are good cuz the car was doing the same thing befor i changed the wires and plugs.. so they are mosy likly good.

so what else might be makeing my car do this..

can anyone think of any sensor that might make it do this?


Here is a link to what i have done... and it not bad at 52MPH+ can hardly feel it, its manly at 45-50
