sounds like grinding in acceleration
Hi im new to this website and i been readinf alot of forums and people been helping people on here so I thought I'd try my problem. I have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI and the problem I'm having is when I stop and go it makes a grinding noise in between shifts coming from passanger side. I changed the cv axle it wasnt that. I changed the hub and bearing assembly and all the brakes, caliper and rotor. If anyone knows what this is please let me no what you think.

Welcome to the Bonneville club.
Your diff is on that side. Is there any way to get a video with sound? Try jacking up the front end and rotating the tire. The other side should also move. Pay attention to the feel and sound.
One last thing, great year.

I remember check if it spins but it did not. Then we had in the air and put it in drive and the right side would only catch once and a while. I thought it might be something with the transmission. I've been driving it like this for a while now.
