Default Oil Change and now Tranny problems?

Got a flyer in the mail, for a free oil change, at the dealer that I bought the car from.

Up until now, I've had zero problems mechanically with the car. Had to fix the gauges, and the supercharger coupler needs replaced, but nothing else.

So, I drive the car home from the dealer, and it seems to be doing ok. Park for about 45 mins, go out, and when I put the car in drive, and start to go, it shudders bad, and jerks as it tries to go foward. Once I've got some momentum, it drives fine, just from a start it has problems.

Did the dealer screw something up, or nasty coincidence? Checked the tranny fluid, and it'* at the full mark.

No Check Engine light is on.

I had a bad o2 sensor cause one of my past cars to act like that, dont know if thats your problem though. Dont know how an oil change could do anything to the trans unless you got the trans oil changed.

Would a bad O2 Sensor make the check engine light come on?

Fogle.....use the procedure in Techinfo to extract your codes. Let us know what you find.

Depends on the car, I've had cars trip the light and some not, most of the time I think you will get a light for an o2. Like will said, check your codes

Well, I was wondering if the O2 sensor would make the check engine light come on, because my check engine ISN'T coming on.. Will I still be able to extract codes?

Ah... good ol' Miracle City.. thought that place was gonna be dead when I left back in '89. Searstown Mall still around?

Family still lives in the area, lil Brother in Merrit Island, one in Titusville (half brother, Ben Mangini), and an older in New Smryna. I joined the Army in '89 and have only been back once since.

Anyhow.. back to the tranny problem.. No engine codes.. Likely it is the Tranny going south I reckon?

Ok, here goes.

No problems whatsoever before today. Get in the car this afternoon, back out of my driveway, Nothing wrong. Put car in D, press gas, and it suddenly jerks. Almost like a bucking... jerk, no power, jerk, no power, jerk, .. this is going on between 1000-2500 rpms.. car is picking up a lil speed, but very slowly. Once car is above 10mph then it stops, and drives fine. It'* only during acceleration that the symptoms appear, and then only in forward. Reverse runs fine.

Gonna go out and smell the fluid now
