Default A/C Compressor Vibration Through Pedal

Hi all,

Has anyone ever felt a vibration on their acceleration pedal between 1500-2250 RPMs? I feel it when I have my foot on the accelerator with light pressure. I verified it is indeed the compressor (or at least I think it is!) because when I turn the A/C off using the button on the climate control panel, the vibration through the pedal stops.

It isn't a big deal, but I was curious if others 'felt' this on their accelerator pedal.

Yes I do feel the vibration you are talking about from time to time.

I haven't felt pedal vibration like that when my AC is on, but I recently noticed pedal vibration under light throttle on my '92 SSE */c after I had the front tranny mount replaced.

What is strange is that the throttle cable doesn't go anywhere near the A/C Compressor does it?? The compressor is on the front side of the engine! Wierd...

Its OK, the car is 8 years old, I am just happy I haven't had to replace any A/C parts yet (fingers crossed)

Sometimes they make a little more noise when the R-134a is low. How is the cooling?

I seem to recall a bit more vibration when my clutch started going (twice now). The bearings sometime go. Any noise coming from the clutch? How are the mounts for the powertrain? A bit of vibration through the gas pedal may be normal for some vehicles but nothing too severe.

Cooling is good, but you have a good point. Next time its at the garage I'll have them check the 134 level. Thanks

No noise that I'm aware of, but I'll pop the hood and see what I can come up with. The mounts are in good shape; just had a mechanic check the entire car out.
