misplaced bulb

ok, you know where the power mirror joystick is on the drivers side of the car? The little plastic piece that it is mounted on, thats part of the door. I was wondering how to take this piece off thats on the passenger side, the little light that illuminates the lock and window buttons got pushed back in there, and I need to take this part off to get at it. Is this easy to do, as in it just pops off like the dash, or would it be more complicated. I am hoping this is easy to fix, its just something minor that I was thinking about.

yes it is very simple. It is just clipped in there. One end has an L shaped hook put the other end snaps in. What you want to do is slide a flat head screwdriver in there and pry the part out. Do it carefully.

Carefully pry it off from the front though, like the side that has the amber light. cause the other end has the plastic tab that is shaped to hold the piece in.

Yup. It's an amber LED in there. The clip is at the forward end of the dark gray piece that holds the joystick, etc. Pry it out gently with any wide, flat tool at the front edge, and when the spring clip lets go you can swing it outwards to unhook the large plastic ear that holds the rear-most end in. Ease the wiring out of the door panel and you will find a small in-line connector that you can unplug to remove the whole thing.

sorry if i was confusing, but I was talking about the one on the passenger side. I just used the one on the drivers side so that you guys would know what I am talking about. I just gently pry it out starting at the end closest to the front of the car?

Yes, exactly. The passenger's door is a mirror image of the driver's door. (and yes, I knew which door you meant... :-) )
