Default Daylight Running lights problem

Hi. I own a 1998 Bonneville SE. The car treats me well, i have it for over a year now and i have been having this wierd problem.

Say its summer, 11am perfect daylight, i turn car on, go to drive, lights switch on as reguler daylight running lights. I go in a shadow area, like under a tree where the sensor has a shadow going to it, or even if i put my hand over the sensor, the daylight lights go OFF, rear lights go ON, and front orange light goes on and foglights if the switch is flipped. Same thing happens at night, so technicly it turns lights on at day light, and turns them off at night , shoudnt it be another way around? Any way i can configure it, i coudnt find this in the manual, thanks!

Let'* forget about the daytime running lights because I don't think they're relevant here, other than to prove that the headlamp bulbs are good. Are you saying that when the Twilight Sentinel turns the car'* lights on at dusk (i.e. whenever it'* dark out), the headlights do not come on, but everything else does? (e.g. front parking lights, taillights, side markers, dashboard lighting)

Maybe someone else with a '98 SE and Twilight Sentinel will have to confirm this, but it sure sounds to me like your headlights are supposed to come on if it turns all the other lights on as well. My '93 does. Maybe you've got a bad relay there...?

I don't suppose you've got an owner'* manual in the glove box? That should tell you...
