Is my waterpump gone to a better place?
Here is my litlle story, basicly about a month ago for the first time ever my back belt came off and it was in bad shape so i have decieded to get a new one, after that strange things started happening to the engine.
1. Full radiator of coolant was disapearing in one day.
2. The car was running extremly hot 120 C +
3. My new belt in about two weeks time got so bad that was practicly comming off everyother day.
5. There was coolant all over the WT.
6.The new belt is basicly unacceptable now and the car is parked for 5 days.
After reading acouple of posts i came to a conclusion that its the WT. But just wanted to make sure. Also why would a brand new belt go bad in 3 weeks time?
Any help will be highly appriciated, thank you.

Did you mean you saw water all over your Water Pump? It would make more sense if you saw water leaking from the weep hole from the bottom of the pump. Also, do you hear any noise coming from the area of the Water Pump? I'll take a SWAG(Silly Wild *** Guess)and say that the bearing in the pump is bad and that it could possibly cause the Serpentine Belt to move off the beaten path and cause it wear out quickly.

Remove the belt and grab hold of your water pump pulley. Pull it in and out, there should be no play, also lift up and down, again no play. Next try to turn the the pump pulley, it should turn easily with no binding.
Gates, goodyear, as delco all make good belts and should last for many years if installed and tensioned properly.

Also check the hose that goes from right above the water pump to the lower intake. Make sure the fitting between the hose and the lower intake isn't broken. That can dump coolant VERY fast.
