Lucas Power steering leak stop?
 

My PS pump leaks, i filled her up almost a month ago and it's down already. Think the Lucas Oil stuff would really help stop the leaks?

I am a firm believer in all the Lucas products. You don't need to get the power steering stuff, the trans stop slip will work just fine. But this stuff has worked wonders for me on both engines and tranny's. Especially if you have lazy shifts or a sticky lifter.

My friend used this stuff in his Grand am because of a leak at the rack... Its a royal pain to have to replace his... Stopped the leak, It returns after a while, he puts a bit more in and its good to go again...lol

I'd suggest the easy cheap fix. Worst that can happen is it can not work or get worse. Then I've also seen a seal on the ps pump fixed before and it's a sad 5 second fix once the pump is out.

I use slick 50 ps formula in my cars and never had a single ps pump problem.
My 90 used to steer like a mack truck, now its smooth and easy as butter.

I filled the resivour in my grandmas camry with that, it held it solid without leaks for over a month, it was nice!

Bought some fluid/leak stop. IT seemed smoother then my regular STP fluid i put in before. I'll have to check back in about a month...

All Lucas shit is just a band-aid to keep from doing a much bigger fix. Now, unless you have the variable-effort power steering, a pump is NOT that expensive (especially not from a J/Y). Just go ahead and fix it. Shit, it's probably just the O-ring on the pressure line. Check that out.

I won't be doing a junkyard replacement, and I don't have time, or the place to do a repair really, let alone money. it could just be a bad hose as well, i have to clean off the engine and check.
