EDIT: im really sorry, i was thinking about something else entirely...i was thinking the OUTSIDE of the sensor, not the sensors themselves...REALLY sorry!

I have succesfully used the procedure that we wrote and put in Techinfo three times.

Follow that procedure. The article covers TB cleaning and all sensors connected to it. The SAFE way.

Don't EVER use anything like brake cleaner or carb cleaner on it. EVER.

I don't know if a AFH50M-02A MAF will work for you, but if you need to replace it, and my dumbass advice messed everything up for you, I will give you one that I have. It is from my year, but I think they are all the same up to 99...i think.

EDIT: I just tested the old sensor after cleaning and got the SES light again, so even if it WAS compatible, which it isin't, it still would not work.

They are not the same, nor remotely compatible.
