Default Where do you apply RTV to LIM lower gaskets? (pic)

Could someone show me exactly where to apply the RTV on these GM LIM gaskets and seals?

The orientation is: You are looking from above, and the TB is to the left. (I think I've got it correct)

Many thanks!!

The critical spots are right where each of those orange strips meets the corners of the aluminum pieces. You can also lay a bead of RTV along the entire length of those strips for extra insurance. But like I said, make sure you get the corners where the orange strips meet the aluminum gasket frames.

Thanks!! I see right where you mean.

I can see now where one of the corners on the original setup was leaking right there.

ok, so the first two sets of dabs are on the block/head joint. Then you put the gaskets on. The third set of dabs--do you extend them onto the manifold gaskets, or just right up to?

Thanks!

Sorry to be late on helping, hopefully when others look this up in the future this can help.

Put gaskets on head..blob gasket maker in all 4 corners

Rubber seal in place, blob on top in all 4 corners

Thanks, Boosty!

I pretty much got it right form the verbal descriptions previously--at any rate, the RTV oozed out nicely from the four corners as I torqued the LIM down.

However, I would like to use your pics in a fresh write-up on this topic. I'll be aming it at duffers like me and maybe I'll call it "Old Fart'* tips on UIM/LIM overhaul" (inspired by willwren).
