Default how does the crank pulley come off

i got the bolt out without any problems but the pulley itself won't budge. do i need a puller or am i not trying hard enough?

yeah i've had this l67 using up an engine stand for three months now and when i finally get some time to really dig into it i can't get the pulley off.

Yes, you need a puller. You can rent the kit at Autozone, but the 3 bolts that go through the slots are the wrong sizes. You need to buy the 3 bolts you need (I forget the size) and use them with a HB puller.

Take the puller and the new pulley to the store with you to size the right bolts. I recall they may be M6 thread, but don't remember the length. You'll also need some washers as the hex head is too small and may slip between the slots.

That topic states the wrong thread size. It'* M6, not 1/4. You DON'T want those 3 bolts to strip out and leave the balancer in place.
