Default Your throttle sticking?

I had my throttle body off to replace the gasket last month, and during cleaning it, lubed all the throttle blade parts copiously, as the throttle has had an annoying off-idle stickiness for quite some time, which made for jerky starts.

That didn't seem to help, so I popped the engine cover off today to take another shot at curing the problem. With an assistant to work the gas pedal, I again lubed everything.

Same problem. OK, what next? Finally decided to look under the firewall at the pivot atop the gas pedal. Yep, crammed up with fibers from the carpet.

Picked all of the junk out, and gave it a shot of Zep teflon stuff.

Cured it at once. Now it'* as smooth as the day I rolled the car.

Just a tip.

Mine used to stick too. But, when I cleaned the throttle body the issue went away. The throttle body was NASTY! Been fine ever since.

I'll keep your tip in mind if it comes back again!
