Default Blower fan running

What would make the fan for the AC/Heat continue to run even after I turn it off and shut off the engine? Bad relay? When I turn it off it will continue to blow through the defrost. Last night when I got home and turned the car off, the fan kept running. I was finally able to get it to shut off after starting and shutting off the engine a couple of times.

This just happened about 2 months ago to someone. He had to disconnect his battery every night. I don't recall who it was. Ring a bell to anyone?

Not sure what possible causes in the 94 year.

This should not be controlled on the retained power as suggested by MasterBM. The fan should turn off with the key immediately.

92-95 manual owners... Need some help with the circuit.. I think this goes from the ECC to the programmer, then to the fan motor?

This happened for the first time last night. The only thing that happened was we had a really hard rain, other than that nothing out of the ordinary. And yes, the fan should cut off as soon as I turn the car off.

Please pull the carpet up by your drivers door a little and see if the floorboard is wet.

Ok, just started car, turned on fan, shut car off, fan still running. I was able to unplug the power to the fan for now. Checked floor board and it does not appear to be wet.
