Default Transmission???

Hello all. I have a problem with my 92 Bonneville. The other day when i got off the highway and came to a stop its was hard for my car to get going (high rmp'*) to get it going again. I was able to make it home and when i try it now it will not go anywhere. In reverse it will try to move but won't go. Any ideas?

Thanks Macron

Checke your tranny fluid right away! High rpm shifts and no reverse means most likely that your fluid is low, check it, add some if necessary, also check for brown colors and oily smells, if its brown and nasty, change your fluid. Get back to us when u did that, if its not low then maybe your TC is messed up.

Check to make sure your battery is charging. You should have about 13.5 volts when the car is running. When your voltage goes too low, the transmission will do things similar to what you describe.
