Default Locked out of trunk

Thanks to a moron I work with, I'm now locked out of my trunk.

The dude removed the clip that holds in my trunk lock, and the lock cylinder fell out.

We put it back in and reinserted the clip. Looks like we didn't get it aligned right with the mechanism that releases the lock itself.

The button on the door panel hasn't worked in some time, and is probably in the lockout position anyway.

By reaching through the pass-thru with a transmission extension I can probably unbolt the lock mechanism from the inside.

Will this allow me to open the trunk? Any better ideas?

All help would be appreciated.

you can try to jump the relay, i know you said the button doesnt work, but it may be worth a shot.

i think you jump pin 30 and 87, but not 100% on that, can anyone confirm that?

A friend had an idea. I've never had a key fob for this car and have always wanted one. Now is the time to go get one from the dealership maybe?

Will this let me into the trunk?

Will the aftermarket fobs work?

did you jump the relay? if that didn't work, then the fob would'nt either.

My knowledge is insufficient for this at the moment. I do not have a schematic which shows me the numbers of the pins in the Fuse/Relay center on the firewall.

I have been searching this site and my Chilton manual to no avail.

Hey, anyone got a map!?!?

The pin numbers should be right on the relay.

Well, I have not been able to find a group of relays there. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place?
