help my water pump

Default help my water pump

hi,im doing a water pump on my car and every thing was going right,until i get to the water pump part.i took out all the bolts eccept one,this bolt was hiding on the back of a bracket that holds the power steering pump and well now i want to take that bolt out but that recuires me to take the alternator and the power steering pump out and the whole bracket out and and and,well im so frusterated and cant think of any more ideas,so guys help me out here,iim trying to put a water pump,but i have 1 bolt left to take out.please help me....

It must be. The whole accessory bracket should not need to come off. Only the ps pump. And even then..you remove the bolts and lower it down..not disconnect.

Leave the alternator. Take two bolts out of the PS pump (access through the pulley). Set PS pump aside. Remove WP bolt.

Hold on, none of the accessories are hiding that bolt. Just the bracket itself.

You've got two choices: remove bracket or remove part of the bracket with a dremel.

The bracket has some bolts hiding behind and underneath.

I think it was the series II K motor that has the one bolt behind the water pump pulley.
Maybe a pic of this braket on the 93 would help.

I think you should be able to get to it just by removing the PS pump.... If not sure though, Just keep trying to take off that braket...hey..its open shop this saturday...idea???? :?:

i got the screw in.i went totest drive the car and it sounded very crappy.so i pulled over to check under the hood to see what was going on and my ose that goes to the a/c was smoking out coolant.well it looked loke i forgot to put the clamp there.so i was a mile away from my house and my car started to sound bogggy,like a subaru with an exhaust system,and well the dummy light came on saying low on coolant,and i was almost over heating.so i haul *** home and i get there worried and thinking to my self,did i warp the block????but then the next morning,i found the clamp and i put it on,and it sounded better,and theres no leaks in the floor..so im goood.thanks guys for your help...

When a car is running warm and out of coolant...you don't speed up and push it harder. You stop..let it cool and walk the darn mile home (like Dbeast to the parts store) and curse yourself for not triple checking things.
