Default Trunk Tail Lights Malfunctioning........

I have a 94 SSEi with the Vehicle Information Center and it is telling me that I have a tail light out. The lights on my trunk are not working and in the past I replaced the bulbs and it fixed this same issue. Well this is not the case. So I broke out my GM Service Manual for the car and started probing some wires for voltage. I am getting a signal for my reverse lights, but nothing for the tail lights (white wire). Has anyone come across this same issue? I have trouble shooted everything and it is pointing toward the Sensing Module (can't recall it'* exact name ) for that circuit. Any ideas?

I checked for that, but I am not getting power at all. The brake lights work fine, these are just running lights. :?:

Do the license plate, side marker, or main tail lamps (outer ones) work?

All of the other lights work, except the ones on the trunk. The reverse lights on the trunk work, but the other lights don't. I think I am going to by a new Lamp Sensing Module for that system. We'll see............... :?:

The Adaptive Lamp Monitor doesn't drive the bulbs; it monitors current flow to the bulbs. If only the bulbs in the trunk lid are out, I'd check the wiring where it jumps the gap from body to trunk. IIRC, the taillamps in the trunk lid are on the same circuit as those in the rear quarters, so you're more likely going to find a broken wire in that area.

Get a needle test probe, verify that the wire is dead where it goes into the trunk lid taillamps, then follow it back until you find a point where it'* not dead. I think it'* probably fine in the trunk, but broken somewhere near the trunk lid hinges.

Well, acg-ssei, I am ahead of you there and the problem is that I am not getting any power to the wire from inside the car. I removed the back seat and probed the wire with my test light, MacTools LED light that powers up to tell ground and power signals, and there is no power to the wire in that area either. The GM manual says to go to the module and test out some pins. With the minimal tracing I have done, I have been unable to locate the Adaptive Module. Can you assist?

Oh, okay, gotcha...

I tried to find that once on my car - I couldn't find it by removing the driver'* side kick panel and under the dashboard. I have a feeling you have to pull a lot of the dashboard out. It'* supposed to be to the right of the steering column, behind the center of the instrument panel.
