Pull out all the rear bulbs and check them to make sure the filiment inside isn't broken and clean all the contacts thouroughly. It might not be a bad bulb but a bad connection.

If that doesn't work go buy a single rear bulb and start swapping it in one at a time until you replace the one that makes the dinging stop.

yeah i had the lamp monitor go on me and it looked like they were all working. it turned out to be one bulb that had two filaments (dont know which one) and one filament burnt out.

Even when good, a bulb can go "black", and it appears that the detection mechanism treats that as a "bad" bulb. I had one such in the centre brake light, the one in the rear window accessed via the inside of the trunk.

When I replaced it, the monitor did not go out right away, but it appeared to need a trip or two before it accepted that " everything was okay now".
