Default Fuel line leaking

As I was driving from my college classes back to high school (about half an hour) I could smell gas which made me nervous because I was just reading about the L67 fires. Soon as I got to school I pulled the cover off and saw that the plastic hose rite by where it connects to the fuel rail, had cracked and was spraying gas all over the place. I bought some gas line at the local hardware store and some clamps and cut the cracked piece out and got it home anyways.

My question is what are my options now? Is it possible for me to make a long term fix with rubber hose? Can I replace the whole line?

Any help appreciated.
