Default oxygen sensor location 1995 sse. 1 or 2?

according to the service document thing at the mechanic i should have two oxygen sensors. well, i only replaced one because the other one is supposed to be clearly seen next to the cat. we double checked like 5 times. i know for a fact the 1997 sse has two.

is my second oxygen sensor hidden or do i just have the one?

and while the oxygen sensor needed to be replaced, my check engine light still came back on after about an hour or so of driving.

replacing radiator next sunday and fixing engine and tranny seal leaks and parts.

thank you and happy egg day to all!

Your 95 only has one.

What brand sensor did you use when you replaced it? Hopefully not Bosch. They do NOT work well in our cars. Use a AC Delco, Denso, or NGK.

That Bosch sensor will start costing you fuel within 30-60 days. Nearly every one ever installed on this forum was sub-par.

Mine lasted 45 days, but never achieved the MPG numbers it'* replacement AC Delco did out of the box, then it went **** up anyway.

Bosch sucks in our cars.

Densos are great--$35-$51 each for the Pontiacs though. They're also fairly lead resistant for those who want to run leaded racing fuel to avoid dread knock . I had one survive for years in my Buick which ran leaded fuel at the track once in a while.
You can order them on line at www.sparkplugs.com

As far as I know, most places won't take returns on electrical parts.

some stores will ok a return if never installed. depends on the store. they may also bend the rules if you exchange for a different brand, rather than just a refund.
