Default trunk release

the only way i can open my trunk is with my key... the key fob nor the button inside works. I have checked the fuses under the dash and they are good, is there any other small thing to look for? Or is it a big fix? I have owned the car for over a year now and it has never worked so if i can't get it to work its no big deal because i'm used to having to open it with the key.

there is a lockout switch by the trunk latch. It'* probably set to on, put it to off.
or, it'* a relay (pass side foot well, against right wall)
or, it'* a broken wire from there to trunk latch,
or, it'* a malfunctioning latch solenoid.

Lol yes, check the lockout switch first. It may be bad if it is not just switched to off. There are a number of people who may have a replacement for you if needed. Heck, now that I think of it, I may have a replacement piece for you.

Let us know.

92-95 don't have a lockout switch.

Your latch/remote release are misadjusted or in need of lubrication. The tension when latched is too great for the unlatch solonoid to release, but not so high that the key won't release it.

Adjust the latch mechanism slightly down, and/or lubricate it.

A good way to determine if this is your issue is to hit the remote release with the trunk open. If the solonoid moves, the problem is as I stated.
