Key Dance for Codes?
I have a Chrysler product of the same vintage as my LSS - '94. By turning the key back /forth in the ignition a certain pattern, you can get the 'error' code. Sort of a back door from having to hook the computer up to diagnostic equipt. - the Mopar guys call it a the "Key Dance"
I was wondering if there is a similar way to check error codes on the GM 3800 cars???

Nope, but I do understand the "key dance". Never heard of the term though, but on my 2002 Neon, if I clicked the key to power 3 times, it would show any codes on the digital odometer. Wish all cars would do that.

Well, if your car is OBD-I equipped, it'* just a matter of jumpering the two upper right ports together with a paper clip in the underdash ALDL connector, then turning on the ignition. I'm sure we have those instructions stashed here somewhere. However, for '94 I'm not sure whether they were fully into OBD-II by then, in which case you'll need a scan tool. Perhaps someone else here can be a little more specific...
