its hard to say really untill youve got the codes

I had the exact same problem on my 94 when I first bought it. The stalling was a result of a camshaft position sensor. Rough idling was the EGR. Sounds like you may have the exact same case.

And yes, I could immediately restart my car as well.

Another possibilty.
My 1995 SSE had a similar problem with dying and would restart. I too could see the rpms drop off and knew I had to use the brake and gas pedal to keep it running. My problem ended up being the fuel pressure regulator. Easy to check once you identify the part. Remove the vacuum line and if you see gas dripping out, it's bad.

This forum is great! We have a 95 bonmneville, and it is doing the random no start, stall. We cannot immediatly restart it when it stalls. Also, when we have the car running it rujns great, then I shut it off, and try to restart it immediatly, and it won't start..

We are going to replace the crankshaft sensor and fuel pump relay tomorrow. The car sat awhile so all the connections were corroded, I have been cleaning ALL the connections, battery cables etc... I have read that even the cables could be the issue. who knows, maybe its out ignition module, but when it does the no start, it has spark so I am thinking not.

Heres hoping I can replace the sensor in a timely fashion.

In St. Louis the O'Rillies auto parts stores have code readers that will read OBD1 1/2,
