Default Blowing but not getting hot !!!!!!

Hey to everyone, this is my first post to the forum. I have a question, I have a 97 Bonnie and the heater stopped getting hot. I have checked the water and added coolant and the gauges work and its not over heating or anything. I replaced the water pump about 2 yrs ago. The heater blows but it just wont get hot at all. Someone checked my fuses a couple of weeks ago when my car wouldn't start but it wasn't any of that just had loose battery cables, lol. But I noticed that a day or 2 after that my heater stopped working. Any clues, it'* suppose to snow this wekk and don't really have a lot of money to invest at this point so was hoping for a cheap answer too lol or something I can do myself get someone else can help me with.
Thanks for the help
Kelley

Default It blows

The heater blows cold air and on the temp gauge moves up and down but doesn't show that it is over heating.

Best bet is your thermostat is stuck open. That allows water to circulate but not get hot enough.

Also, I'll bet that on a really cold day you have to drive quite a distance before your overdrive kicks in. That is related to the thermostat as well.
