Seats
I have the opportunity to buy leather seats from a wreakers for fairly cheap. I have a 1994 seei with cloth seats and both are power but without the switches in the center consol. I havent seen the new seats yet so they may not have the switches in the center consol but if they do is it possible to fit those into my 1994 ssei that doesnt have them? And will all the lumbar adjustments work? Has anyone ever done this. Thanks.

i was planning this mod this summer but 200 for a seat has made me rethink this. I probally wont find used seats that are in the condition of the leather that i have now, besides i already have power seats so what does it matter
ANYWAY I think that i herd somewhere that the lumbar was controlled by air. this could be totally wrong. I think that it would be hard to get power to the passenger seat anyway. Its doable but alot of work

It is entirely possible, I did it this weekend in my column shift SE, Now I've got the ten button thing that used to be in the console flopping around between the seats until I build a custom console....

The seats are totally self contained systems that really only need power and ground (as well as the operating pad. As Damemorder noted, the problem will be mounting the controls for it. Virtually nothing is impossible but some things require alot of work but this one I don't think is one of them. I say go for it!

The critical components you need are the switches for the console, the relay control box (black box) mounted under the driver'* seat (make sure it'* there when you buy the seats) and the air compressor for the lumbars/love-handles under the passenger seat.
Other than that, all the factory wiring should be there, and if it isn't, several of us have wiring diagrams that should help. My 93 SHOULD be identical to your 94 with regards to the seats. I'd suggest getting as much of the harnesses on the car side as possible with the seats, just in case.

To make it work, you need the orange and black wires all the way to the edge of the car atleast, There are three sets, and the Gray wire from the switches long enough to reach the closest dimmable light, I used my ashtray light. You also need all the wires between the two seats and the air line too.
