I have heard about fuel sender calibration problems for 97 Pontiac Bonneville can I please get some more info on this problem my car is having delayed readings on the gas gauge stay at half tank and 3 quarter tank and when low go to e fast . could the instrument cluster be the problem ? thanks

No, its in the software in the PCM. I remember seeing a TSB somewhere about it. GM has an update for your PCM. Just stop by the dealer and give them your VIN # and he can double check it.

I remember seeing in one of the threats I think it was you mike 1995 you look up vin numbers for what the car had from factory could you look up my vin please ? its 1G2HX52K3VH213225 97 Pontiac Bonneville se 3.8 liter non supercharged thank you

No, he'* talking about GM'* TIS webservice. You punch in the VIN and it tells you all the PCM updates.

SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE FUEL GAUGE REMAINS ON "FULL" TOO LONG. THE VEHICLE MAY BE DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES BEFORE MOVEMENT BEGINS.

CAUSE:
UPDATE FUEL SENDER INFORMATION CALCULATION MAY BE TOO SLOW.

CORRECTION:
