Default Car broke down after the track tonight (Final Update)

We went to the track everything was fine. Went to McD'* and it stalled out twice in line (being cammed it happens time to time, no bigge). We went across the road to eat and what not. Sat there for about a half an hour, and went to pull away and heard a thunk. Car died out and wouldnt restart. Popped the hood, belt was off the waterpump pulley and broke. So we took it off and still nothing. The car cranks but doesnt fire. Has fuel to the rail and pump turns on. Took of the plug wires and coils are not sparking. I am a little confused anyone have ideas. I had to leave it at the gas station for the night and i am going to go and try to get it running (or tow it home tomorrow).

I have to wonder if the flailing belt might have taken out the ICM harness somehow, or the crank position sensor/harness.

yup, that would be my thoughts also. I would check on the crank position sensor.

did you actually check the sensor itself? heck is it even possible for the belt to get to the sensor to damage it?

Well the car is home now atleast

I dont think the belt could have damaged the sensor. Truthfully i dont think the belt caused the car to die but there is that possibilty.

So any ideas on why it would crank over but not fire?
