Default Backfiring?

Hi
I've got a L36 3800 series ll and i just had my last tune up along with replacing the intake maifold after hydrolock. So the engine is fine now but my question is before and still right now when i start my car or rev my engine slightly it sounds like it backfires... I'm not sure if this is a common thing for this type of engine or i have a serious problem but i just got new plugs and a new O2 sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Tubs, can you scan for codes? That'* one of those problems that will be nearly impossible to track down without scanning first.
