Performance shift
Does anyone know what the official difference is between the normal and performance shift settings? I always thought that the performance setting would let the engine rev higher between shifts, but I can't say for sure.

Well... under normal driving condition it doesn't seem to do much difference.. the only thing I've noticed on my car is that it'* easier to get the car to downshift when merging onto the highway....The official difference is SUPPOSE to be allowing the tranny to downshift easier and rev up higher before upshifting...

According to my OM that is correct. Although I can't say as I notice any difference between "performance shift" and "normal shift" settings.

We've discussed this one before, and I know some people see more of a difference than others, mine shifts about 500rpm'* higher, but only under WOT. Drifter'* right, it downshifts quicker (different RPM) and holds you in the band longer bofore going to the next gear.
500rpm'* doesn't seem like much, but I tested it in 0-60 sprints, and it actually shaves about a half second. Just makes me nervous shifting that close to the red

Funny you should ask that. Found something that would work PERFECTLY at the farm and home supply while I was buying the LP tank for the H2O injection today. Gotta take some measurements. I will have to make my own brackets, but I'm thinking spring shackle brackets sold at the local steel supply place will work. The arms I found today (for tractors) already have both universal ball ends.....I only need to check the length.

Not on MY car. JB weld or nothing. I installed a lift kit on a Jeep Cherokee a couple years ago for a friend. The stud for the left rear shock was stripped, and the kit came with one, but we were at his house and didn't have either of my welders. We JB'd the bitch, and it was still holding when he sold the Jeep a couple months ago. Survived 2 summer trips to Moab Utah, too.
