ABS and TRACTION CONTROL light stays on
Can any garage scan for this problem, or just the dealership. What ever the problem is, it looks expensive.

I just had my 1993 SSEi in the shop for those lights- cost me around $1000 for parts and labor for a new pressure control modulator (they said it was the most expensive part of the ABS system). Car works well now, had it back about 2 weeks.

If the shop has the right scantool, they can, and $1k is about right for a PMV change. In addition to the brake reservior level, get the car on stands and inspect the loops on the wheel speed sensor wiring. Clean the connectors too. It could be simple. A dealership will charge you about 80 bucks just to scan for codes.

Thanx for the replies... Blake fliud is full, but sometimes when the lights are not on , u can here this grinding noise after the car is started. When this noise stops the lights come on & stay on. I believe this is the ABS trying to reset itself. Me thnks PMV is shot

The EBCM will self-test after the car is started. One of the things it does is look out to the PMV for coil voltages. Brake fluid is corrosive. It eats the solonoid coils. That'* what'* wrong with mine right now. I've never seen an EBCM fail yet, so the PMV is a safe bet.......but don't shotgun it. Make sure before changing it. I've done 2 now, so I can talk you through it if you need me to. Save the bucks!
(I also have both rear wheel speed sensors out, so don't forget that it can be more than one thing! That'* why paying for the scan isn't that bad of an option)

I had the same problem!
Both of my traction control and abs light went on 2.I changed rotors,pads drums and shoes just cause i wanted to upgrade and get new looking brake'* to look good behind the wheels im getting and the abs light hasnt came back since,plus the traction control light goes on and off now 
Guess im just lucky though,!Probably could have been brake fluid level!
