Inner tie rod and broken front left trans mount

Anyone know where there is a topic on how to install these or does anyone know how to install one any help would be greatly appreciated

You're going to need a good book and a torque wrench for this. Not something easily talked through.

Chilton's #28200 is less than 20 bucks.

Kennginn 03-01-2004 02:05 PM

where could i get one of those from?

J Wikoff 03-01-2004 02:06 PM

Autozone, don't you work there?

Kennginn 03-01-2004 02:07 PM

i do but we have HAYNES MANUALS

willwren 03-01-2004 02:07 PM

Haynes will work. I have one sitting right here.

I use all of them.

Kennginn 03-01-2004 02:09 PM

Oh yeah. I knew y'all had some brand, couldn't remember which. I think Farm King has Chiltons. Do they have those in Chicago, probably not.

willwren 03-01-2004 02:10 PM

Factory service manuals are the best. For most car owners, however, Chilton's may be a better choice. Haynes runs third, Clymer dead last.

anyone have had hands on experience with any of those parts replacing them?

GAMEOVER 03-02-2004 04:04 AM

we have outer tie rod ends not inner its fairly easy there's Jam nut and you loosen and turn off but count how many time you turn the tie rod and then reverse sequence to asssemble and as far as the center stud that has a castle nut and a cotter pin remove pin the remove nut use a pickle fork to seperate from knuckle
get a alignment as soon as you are done cuz tire's cost $

Kennginn 03-02-2004 01:21 PM
