Default Rust anyone...

I was cleaning and waxing in the door jambs and noticed on the bottom inside of my passenger door....RUST . I thought the cars had galvanized steel. Luckily it'* not visible from outside (only if you lie on the ground and look up while the door'* open).
Was kinda wonderin'...anyone else have any rust?

i've got a little surface crap rust in the corners of my doors.. and one small spot [about 1/8" by 3/8"] surface rust spot right on the corner of my rear window.. I can scratch it off with my finger. But other than that, my car if damn solid.

Oh yea..... cars rust...

I had my 91 all fixed up last year... she didn't have it too bad... but enough to warrant repairs at a body shop.

The 97 has a few bubbles at the front of the hood, and I noticed the drivers door has a bit (which worries me). Also there is a tiny bubble by the gas door... and that'* about it.

I have some slight surface on the inside bottom edge of my doors of my 93 SSEi, but nothing really bad. My 98 Lumina LTZ has bubbley rust under the gas door too.

I think if there is rust by the gas door, someone had over filled the tank, gas leaked, and they failed to wash it off, and just wiped it off. But don't quote me on that.

I have a problem with the strip that runs across the bottoms of both doors rubbing the paint off the bottom seam of the doors. Every year I remove the gasket, sand the bottoms of the doors and paint them. It is just surface rust, but it botters the crap out of me.

I let the paint cure for about a week and them put the strips back on.

This is some of the rust on mine. The black lines for my sheet metal wish list.

There are several parsley flake sized rust spots on the hood from chips and whatever else 11 years of road hazards could throw at it.

ouch man.. how long as it been since you've used your brakes!?!?! i see almost a complete cover of surface rust on 'em! Not too bad though.. I guess I am very lucky.. having an older car w/o rust, and those having newer ones with it.
