I think my SC belt is sliping when cold?

I put a new gatorback belt put on my car because my water pump went out 4 weeks ago. I noticed after I got my SC installed yesterday and started the car I checked for leaks and such and noticed it looked like my belt slipped I think. If not maybe my tensioner was not tight? Can a bad pulley or belt tensioner be my problem? I mean could it bind up the travel on my belt a small degree? To make it slip some? I did notice as the car was running when it warmed up it didn't seem to have the same reaction. I will take a another look today and see if it does it again. Thanks

Is your new belt the same length as the old one? It shouldn't slip if it is. Unless you routed it wrong, or your tensioner is getting weak. Is it possible you got some oil on the belt or a pulley?

Yes..any pulley that may be binding could be an issue. I would pop the belt off and check each if you feel this may be happening. Next up would be a tensioner check. Look to see if it's in the proper tension setting... aka look at the marks on it.

Bill on the marks what would it look like and where should I look at how will they look if correct? Thanks

Dan, I don't think I got any oil on it. The belt as far as I know is the same as the other one. I think it might be the tensioner or the idler on it will look more into Monday and find out I'll keep you guy's posted on what I find.

The belt tensioner has 3 boxes on it one 3/4 inch and 2 beside it 1/4 inch each in size the arrow is above the 3/4 box a little to the left of the inside 1/4 inch box
