Default gutted airbox

hey guys im lookin for some cheap power and i was wanderin what "gutting the airbox" consisted of. i think that is the only thing i would be able to get away with with my dad so im kinda lookin for some "hidden"/cheap mods.

Basically busting out the resonator out of the bottom side of the air box.....Y akno how you take the top off to get the air filter out? Once you pull the air filter out, hollow out that bottom section of the box and you're all done.

It will give you a few HP, and will increase your gas milage a bit if you drive with a light foot. Put a K&N filter in there, and you will get even more power.

It'* really simple to do. Just take a razor-type knife and cut all of the plastic spot welds.

You can also open up the front end of the box for more airflow. On mine, which shold be identical to the 97, I removed the whole small sqare piece at the front. Not only did it make a noticeable SOP increase in power, it sounds awesome!!
