Default HELP! W/tension pully

hi, I have a 95 Bonn. I had to replace my tension pully yesterday (saturday) which came off on the way home from work causing my belt to come off also..I replaced my pully and now I can't get the belt back on...it'* lacking about a 1/4" or so to slip over the altnator...please let me know of any tricks or what I can do..?? I'll check back during the day for post...thanx...

If the belt doesn't fit it'* likely because you haven't routed the belt correctly. I assume the pulley is the same size as the original?

Look on the radiator support or top cover for a diagram of the belt routing and follow that. You do know that the tensioner can be rotated to allow the belt to put on?

New belts can be tough. Try it again after leaving the belt out in the direct sunlight for awhile.
