well bad news is my bonne got smashed so i then found a 92 town car which is the 2nd best car i have ever had 1st was my 81 bonne any way tanny going out on the town car ford built JUNK trannys so i got a buick grand sport 4 door 93 for free Go 3800 v6 ok i will get the the point of this post

when i went to pick the buick up it has a really bad miss in it .... so back it darn neer snaps your neck when it stubles and it want as well as dose killes so i took it to the parts store they scaned it and came up with 4 codes went like this

1. crank sencer 18
2. history cran sencer 18
3 o2 sencer
4.masaireflow

ok so i thought start with the hard stuff so i change the crank sencer when i was done it ran good for like 3 mins then right back to missing so i ran it to the parts store and had it scaned and it went like this

1. crank sencer 18
2. history cran sencer 18

so here i sit with a car that has somewhat of a new 3800 in it got 60,000 miles on it that misses so if Anyone could point me what to looki in to you would be my hero thank for your time and BONNEVILLES Rock lol Josh

Have you considered that maybe the miss is a bad coil, old plugs or that one stray plug wire that is laying on the exhaust manfold without any coating?

While that last one is a joke..it'* quite possible.

On the crank SENSOR code, was this code cleared when scanned?

No.. not necessarily. It takes a certain amount of time..but history needs to be cleared or it will always show up.

Please give us an update. Did you test the coils? What else have you tried?

Did you replace your crank sensor? Clear the codes to see if it comes back? Check the wiring to the crank sensor?
