I need an exploded view of 4T65E/HD transmission
 

i went to change my leaky output shaft seal today and turns out some form of a needle bearing that broke causing all of the needles to to be floating around behind the seal, idk what this part is so i need an exploded view of the tranny to fix this thanks

Recently rebuilding one myself and thinking of where needle bearings can/should be.. I'd say those are probably from teh channel plate, which is the piece you are looking at in your picture. Most likely the plate needs to be removed, fresh CP gaskets and valve body gaskets are proobably needed.

so basically your saying i have to take apart the tranny?

I thought that was a given once you had those pieces in your hand. It looks like a bearing that is in the channel plate IIRC. Technically the seal backs up the bearing from the pics. I'm not 100%, but it's either out comes the trans or maybe and I do mean "mayyyyybe" it can be done in place.

yeah i was hoping it was just somehting that you could replace without any major dismantaling, well im not sure what to do now since im kinda of time crunched since i go back to work tomrorow and thats my only car. well thanks for your help.

Call up to a local trans shop and ask their thoughts. I doubt you'd be able to get the bearing as quick as they could and if it can be done, they'd know.

I'm pretty new at the trans rebuilding and don't have all the answers. :)

I know this is an old thread but the question was never answered.
The bearing in question is a hk4012 roller bearing. It is a replacement for the extension housing bushing and is located in the same position. The standard 4t65e transmission has the bushing and the 4t65ehd uses the roller bearing. Also the cv axle is different. The hd is more robust.
And no you don't have to remove the transmission to service this item but the fix took me 7 hours last time I did it. What's not fun is the removal and reinstall of the support bracket that connects the transmission extension housing to the engine block. Really difficult to get in there but with a lot of persistence you'll get it done. I replaced mine because I changed the seals and was going to install a new teflon bushing from superior but found out the hd transmission uses a roller bearing and cv axle was different. (The bushing was way to small for the area on the shaft of the cv axle.) I got the part number off the original part. A local parts house had 1 in stock. Hope this puts this to rest.
