Default Oil In Air Cleaner

'94 SSE 136,000 miles.

I cleaned my K&N oil filter about 2 weeks ago. When I pulled out the dirty K&N I did not notice an oil whatsoever in air filter.
Ok, after I cleaned K&N filter I had my transmission rebuilt and used Engine Restorer (the stuff you buy in a can).
Today I noticed a tremendous amount of oil in my air filter. So much so that it was leaking out below air filter. I originally thought it was my Brake Pressure Modulator leaking.

Any ideas on what caused this. I've never had blow by on this car before.

If it is engine oil, I'd suspect the PCV valve. Someone here had this problem several months ago on a Series I, I don't remember what his cause was.

Red/Tranny fluid, I'd suspect the vacuum modulator.

HELP. Oil in intake?!?!?!?!?!

I believe that they found his problem to be that he just filled the oil up to fast.

Just asking....have you checked your oil level?

I didn't notice the color of the fluid being red. Appeared to me to be more oil color (i.e. light tan).

I cleaned up the oil, put in fresh air filter and new PCV valve. I'm going to keep an eye on it for a while. If happens again I will reopen this thread. I will try to remember to get back to you in a week to let you know if it solved the problem. If I don't you can email me at dougworner@hotmail.com.

If I'm understanding where the trans vacuum modulator is located it sits right on the side of the trans with vacuum hose that runs up to the intake. I did notice that there is a brand new bright shiny modulator that was installed after transmission was rebuilt.

Oh, sorry. Yes, I checked all fluids and they are fine. But I just had oil changed 2 days ago so will have to keep an eye on that.

Plus I don't think it is the PCV valve because I replaced this about 20,000 miles ago with one from the GM dealer.

That means nothing. You can get a bad one out of the box. The symptoms point to the PCV as one possible solution, and it'* a VERY inexpensive part that is very easy to replace.

Try it.

Yeah. I was changing my oil and was filling it, not any faster than I've ever done before..and I could hear the pressure relieving through the INTAKE. Next thing I knew, I had oil on my ABS modulator and the ground. I think it was my pcv. The other one had to be original. I'd definitely recommend changing yours.

Edit:
wait a second... did you use...

THIS?

Or this?
