Recent Annoyances
The MIL comes on for a trip and a half, then stays off for a day. No hard codes stored. It came on today, and I ran to grab the scan tool to check it out. P0440 - evap systems control. Great fun! Checked the gas cap, and we'll see what happens. Seems to happen more when it'* wet outside.
This on top of the broken supercharger belt, the expensive tensioner for said supercharger belt/main drive belt/idler pulley, one missing chromey lug nut cover thingie, broken reflector on the rear bumper (why do people hit my car when I'm in my assigned parking spot?), and weird surging at quarter throttle on the way home... I'm getting a migraine. Haha.
I heard I should check the backing lines (?) for carbon buildup. Could this have anything to do with evap? I'm guessing no, but better to be sure.
I love my Bonneville! I wonder if she'll fit in the garage for a wax job...

Weird surging at 1/4 thorttle can be due to a bad EGR valve. Happened on my 94SE. Trying taking the valve off and cleaning it out with carb cleaner. If the problem goes away for a while then returns you need a new EGR valve..
Ditto for the idle air control valve (but that would show up more at idle than 1/4 throttle).

My dad was rambling on about the guy who had the car before having the backing lines replaced, whatever they are. I guess something on the supercharger. I've never heard of them until now, but this is my first supercharged engine, too.

Good like always being able to get my mom'* gf with the muffler bearings... I bet it is some sort of cruel joke to see if I was paying attention :o
