How reliable is my alarm?
I have the "stock" 96 SSEi alarm..and frankly, i know nothing about it besides it works i guess? lol. I'm considering buying an aftermarket alarm ,but if this stock alarm is reliable then that's all i need, so i dont need to waste more money. Hopefully someone can help ;)

Only thing I added to my car was a red LED in the gauge cluster, so potential thieves got a clue that the car _does_ have a Security system. By wiring its positive lead to an always-hot circuit and its negative lead to a switched-hot circuit at the fusebox below the dash, it comes on when I switch off the car. |
Yeah, when i first got my car. I did'nt even know it had an alarm. Till i reached though the door and unlocked it. oops.

I found out ours had an alarm much in the same fashon. I locked the doors with the windows down reached in to use the power door unlock and got a surprize. 15 minutes rapidly reading the manual to find out how to turn it off.
