Rear Brake (shoes) install
Hey Folks,
I am trying to install new brake shoes, and I got a car book (not so handy) anyways, When I pulled the drums off the diagrams in the book which cover full size Oldsmobile, buicks and Bonnevilles do not show what I see in front of me. Are there any diagrams that you know of that I can look at when I go to reassemble the brakes? any links would be great I would like to get this done before work on monday, stupid of me to start this project now I know. I already replaced the fronts (disc) which were quite easy but I am really rusty on the old drums need some practice oh and while im at it any diagrams for a 98 Pontiac Trans Sport rear drums? I know this is the wrong thread for that but I thought I would add that in there.
Thanks so much,
Fumbling starter car guy

Geez, even my 1995 FSM book doesn't have good diagrams of what your looking for.
Upon further inspection, I have noticed we have nothing about doing rear brakes in our Techinfo area. Hmmm...writeup time!
I should have some pictures for you by noon time.

We have nothing on drum brakes. We will correct that over site. Have you removed both sets of brakes? If not, use the other side as a guide. There'* not much to drum brakes. A center piston, the pads, and springs. PLEASE, do not try to install the springs without the correct tool. The tool only costs about $10 and is will worth saving your eye site.
