New PCM or Chip?
My QDM in my PCM is bad. Buddy at work (user vze3r89p) advised me it was cheaper to get a Jet Stage II chip instead of a new PCM? This Jet stage thing is foreign to me. Help, what should I do? :?

I can provide the best price for the Jet Stage 2 chip for Bonneville'* right now. Just give me an email @ Hector@angryducktofuracing.com and I will help you out. Just make sure to let me know which year/model of Bonneville you have so I can give you a price with shipping.

Same here. I know the pcm runs the car but I always thought they were reprogrammable especially since they have the ability to learn your driving habits, adjust fuel flow, etc. What affect does the upgrade have on fuel mileage, drivability etc. This is an upgrade I'm considering after I make some performance upgrades to the motor.

Does the Jet Stage II piggyback, or replace the whole PCM? I always thought the aftermarket chips simply piggybacked and never took the actual place of the PCM.

If any of you want to know specifics about the Jet Stage 2, I highly recommend it. My car is a totally different animal now. Well worth the money. Just PM or email me any questions, and I'll be happy to answer them. If you trust me, just email Hector and order it. It'* that good. Turtle_sse is running one in a NA SSE also.

Couldn't tell you. I have a 93. Visit www.jetchip.com or email hector@angryducktofuracing.com either should be able to give you an answer. It shouldn't really matter one way or another. Mine was a piggback, yours may not be, but the results would be the same. They're specifically tuned for your particular year/model, and Stage 2 also takes advantage of intake and exhaust mods. The chips are dyno AND track tested before release. I'm VERY pleased with the performance increase in mine, and I'm also starting to notice an increase in efficiency, also. More on that later when I confirm it.

I think in 96 and up there is still some form of a "chip" that can be interchanged. Don't quote me, becayse just like Will I'm in the first generation of the 3800.
