water under rear passanger seat
Every now and then when it rains the carpet and seat on the rear passenger side gets soaked. I could understand if there was leak somewhere why the carpet would be wet, but it feels like the water on the rear seat is coming up from the bottom. Any suggestions?

There are channels in the floor pan under the carpet that give the water a route to flow to the rear footwells. Just because the carpet is wet in the rear doesn't mean the water is coming from there.
Answer one question, and then I will tell you how to find your water leaks. Do you have a sunroof?

Not necessarily, but easy to find out.
Tip the rear of the glass up to vent position, and at the back of the channel the glass normally sits in you will see one drain hole in each corner. Get a small funnel or tube and pour a cup of water into each of those drain holes. You should observe water pouring onto the road at the front of each of the rear wheel wells.
Now move the glass to the full open position (back) and you will see two more drain holes at the front corners. Pour water into each of them and look for water coming out at the rear of the front wheel wells.
If water poured into any of these four drains does not come out near the wheel wells, it is probably going into the car.
Do this test, tell us what you observe, and we will give you the next step.

Well, I poured it in the four holes and it came out all four. What is the next step?
I have to say I am quite impressed or shocked that they would run the water all the way. Is this a common installation procedure?
I think it might be the rubber seal on the door jam so I removed it and resealed it. Now I have to wait for the next rain storm, which shouldn't be too long given our recent weather!

The door rubbers come loose at times, I found a waterleak in my GXP. Was a loose door seal on passenger side. The Bonneville is notorious for trunk rubber leaks as well. Good to check the spare tire once in awhile.

Okay, next step is to check the watershields in the doors on the side where you are getting water. You have to pull the door trim panels and examine the large plastic sheet (water shield) that is stuck to the sheet metal. You are checking to make sure there are no gaps between the WS and the sheet metal. If there are, that is where the water is coming in.
Let me know if you don't know how to pull your door panels. Let me know if you need to re-seal the water shield and I will tell what you need to do.

Well, found out that the 'hose' running down the A pillar was broke and that is where the water was coming from in the front. I guess some was going in the hose and the rest on the floor. I said screw it and caulked the drain hole. Now on to the damn back!

Okay, the front is no longer leaking due to sealing it off. I have felt the roof in the back and it is definitely wet. How do i access the rear hose without dismantling the car?
Thank you in advance
