Horn Failure
 

My horns dont work anymore, no matter how f'in harrd I push on the steering wheel. I checked and the horns and they are plugged in. We had a remote started installed last winter (car has only been driven about 5 times all yr) and we had a few problems and we had to take it back, could they have broke the wire or messed up up somehow? Or could the wires of gotten disconnected from the wheel? Fuse is not blown.

have you checked the fuses also?

Hmmmm....I doubt the wires got disconnected from the wheel, but you never know.

Installation of aftermarket equipment can lead to other electrical issues, but it depends on if where they were connecting the equipment.

Have you checked the horn relay and teh connections to the realy in the maxi-fuse center?

The relay is in the Maxifuse relay center. Under the hood.

I have seen horns fail and actually fill partially with dirt. Usually those are lower down, but a failure could happen in our case as well.

A quick test to see if it's a horn failure you can test the horn connector to ground. When the button is pushed, you should see 12 volts.

We have the car ziebarted, so they could of gotten stuff in there too. Ill try that.

We got 11.xx volts on a low battery when we tested it, so we will go get some new horns. Will updates when we get them.
