Default FOund a Leak today, need help.....

OK anyway I was driven my Bonnie on the road... when All of a sudden my coolant light came on.. anyway.. I pull over luckily at a oil lube place.... next thing I know Im smoking!!!!! Im a newb at cars so I was Scared that I blew a gasket or sumthing major....But I had some of the ppl look at it... THey ran some water thru and found the leak....Thay said it was the By pass hose.. I was like umm ok... ANyway I was Wondering if that is something I need to order online or the local store? If so Then is it a simple thing to REplace it myself? I appreciate any help guys thanks....

For starters we'll need to know your year and trim level. It'* a good idea to add that information to your signature line.

samething happened to me today mine was jus a flushing tee by the heater core but yr and trim would help a bunch

You probably broke the plastic bypass fitting in the lower intake manifold. The dealer has a metal replacement. It can be found by following the bypass hose up from the water pump until it enters the lower intake manifold, just forward and below the alternator.

so auto zone or checker wouldnt have one? and Its really simple to fix right?

Do NOT drive the car, and don't replace it with a plastic part. If they don't have metal, go elsewhere.

I called napa, THey asked if it the Quick disk connector? does that sound right?
