hood problems

Well i got a new hood today and everything was going good until i tried to close it..
and wham it doesnt fit of course.

i was just wondering if the 1994 ssei hood (hood i bought) is any different then a 1995 se (my car)

the lines seem to line up good..but something is hitting in the front of the hood..im not sure what it is tho. if anyone else has had this problem please inform me on how you fixed it.

thanks,
jordan

They are the same hood and latch. No difference. However, the front grille on the SE is taller than the SSEi, and it may be hitting your bumper. Swap grilles.

well the hood goes on now but theres a gap between the bumber and grill..im going to get an se grill this weekend and i think my latch is broken because my hood still pops up..i had to tie it down with a belt so it wont fly up

anyone know if i might need a new latch?

i may have temporarly fixed the hood..it just needed a lil extra slam and it finally latched and i pulled the hood release from the inside and it releases the hood now. :D

still doesnt line up perfect but whatever its good for now

Adjust your hinges until it lines up right, and adjust the height of the rubber stops so it latches easier.

how do you adjust the rubber stops? i ripped one out by accident i think i threw it out too...is that going to be a problem?

The rubber stops at the front corners above the headlights?

You got rid of them? Yes, that's going to be a problem.

you can get those rubber stops at the dealership. I recently bought one because it was missing on one side, causing the hood to vibrate.

And they adjust with a wrench. You want them as high as possible without lifting the front of the hood. Then adjust the hood latch to that point.
