Lamp monitor light
I'm new to this forum and I'm glad that I found it . Can someone tell me why the lamp monitor light won't go out? All of the bulbs are good, from the hood light to the license plate light. Another thing is that my twilight sentinial won't work. I replaced the headlight switch and still no dice. All fuses are good.

turn the car off, take out all of the bulbs, and then back in right away... might just be the computer glitching...it will take the car about 15 secs to realize that all the bulbs are good
if that doesnt work, sell the car, haha jk

A twighlight sentinel may mess it up if it'* not reading right.
However, the way the lamp monitor works is by sensing the resitance of each circuit. If it'* off, i'tll change it. Some aftermarket bulbs, espeically LEDs are like this.

as far as the Twilight, there is a dime sized sensor on your dash located in the trim piece by the windshield all the way to the left. it is black. That may need replacing, mine did. i got one from a newer one at the junk yard but i dont know where else to find one. maybe gmpartsdirect.com or maybe a retail auto parts place. some one chime in here!!!! That pulls out just like a fuse. try cleaning it carefully. it may be weak. pull into a dark area. cut your car off, put a penny over it and just turn the key on with your twi sent turned on and see if your lights come on!! that is how i found my problem

It could also be the Lamp Control Module located under the instrument panel near the center. Mine is giving me a hard time so my twilight doesn't work.. ( I haven't removed mine yet as it seems like a bad connection problem cause I keep hearing clickin sound when all lights are on ) Just a thought
P.*. Credit goes to NVSSEI for pointing this out to me and the location.. you can either PM him or I for a pic of it'* location ( from the manual hee hee.. he da man)

Lamp monitor light
The light just says Lamp Monitor. It doesnt show that any bulbs are out. Is it normal for that light to be on? Thanks for the tip on the sensor on the dash. I'll check the junkyards today.

There'* no other problems with the Driver Information Center just that "lamp monitor" won't go off. The compass works fine.
