My upper was a Delphi, but it hadn't failed. I bought a new intake (thinking that my old one was melted as I was doing the project as preventative maintenance). When I unbolted it, to my surprise, it looked like new. Regardless, I still bolted on the new on that I bought. It, too, is a Delphi.

composite intakes are great (they're used on the ls1, 2, 4, and 6, btw), and they're usually nothing but benefits. but someone goofed up a little with their thermodynamics, and we're paying the price for it. so it goes.
