Most people on here either run with Magnaflow or Flowmaster. Also our mufflers are the same as the Camaro / Firebird F - body mufflers

yea to get it like mine you must have..

a High flow Magnaflow Cat
Delete the Resonator
and get a F-body Dynomax muffler (a bonnie Dynomax might sound the same) But you have to get the Supper Turbo Model

F-body mufflers are a DIRECT replacement for our cars. Whoever said it isn't is either wrong or deliberately lying to you.

I suggest NOT deleting the resonator. Most that do regret it. I added one to a Bonneville that never had one, and I'm much happier now.

There is no such thing as a 'performance' muffler. It won't gain you squat for performance, only sound.

i hate to break it to you Wren. but a lot of people like the way mine sounds With Out the Rez
i think it all depends on what muffler you get.

if its the right fit, how come the pipes do not line up?

there is no way you can make my F-body muffler fit under the car the way a stock one does.

I agree with with Bill on this one. Resonators help the sound on most cars/mufflers. I have a 1993 and have had 3 different exhuast setups:

1. Cherry bomb turbo, no resonator (muffler, not glasspack)-It was ricey and raspy
2. Flowmaster 80, no resonator-better than #1, but still high pitched
3. Flowmaster 80, with resonator-A tad bit quieter, but much deeper when you step on it. No raspyness.

This post isn't about do this do that.

Exhaust sounds are very specific to the person hearing them. I would suggest attending a meet and listening to exhaust. Finding some clips on here will help..but remember..the sound is picked up by a camera etc and may not be the exact representation. It'* all about personal preference.

IIRC an F body is not a direct fit like our stock mufflers. The tailpipes have a slightly different configuration. Close enough though.

Thank you Haro for all the pics. As we can see..the inlet is a little off for exact fitment. Bandit'* pipes also stick down if my feeble memory serves properly.
